Cannabidiol (CBD)

CBD (Cannabidiol) ist das zweitabundanteste Cannabinoid in Cannabis, nach THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). Im Gegensatz zu THC führt CBD nicht zu einem Rausch; es wird typischerweise medizinisch eingesetzt, nicht rekreational, wobei die vier am häufigsten angesprochenen Bedingungen Schmerzen, Angst, Depression und Schlafstörungen sind.

Hauptvorteile: Die humanmedizinische Forschung zu CBD hat sich auf zwei seltene Formen von Epilepsie konzentriert: das Dravet-Syndrom und das Lennox-Gastaut-Syndrom. In Menschen und Tieren hat CBD vielversprechende Ergebnisse als Behandlung für eine Vielzahl von Beschwerden gezeigt, insbesondere für Angstzustände, Depressionen, Schmerzen, Entzündungen und Krebs. Im Gegensatz zu Cannabis und THC beeinträchtigt CBD nicht die Koordination, das Urteilsvermögen oder das Gedächtnis. In einem im Jahr 2018 veröffentlichten kritischen Bewertungsbericht kam die Weltgesundheitsorganisation zu dem Schluss, dass es \keine Beweise für den Freizeitgebrauch von CBD oder irgendwelche gesundheitsbezogenen Probleme in Zusammenhang mit der Verwendung von reinem CBD\ gibt.

Die Hauptnachteile: Die Nebenwirkungen von CBD sind in der Regel geringfügig, umfassen jedoch Lethargie, Müdigkeit, Schläfrigkeit, Fieber, Durchfall, Erbrechen, verringerten Appetit und erhöhte Werte von Alanin-Aminotransferase (einem Marker für Leberschäden). Andere Nachteile sind die geringe Anzahl an Beweisen aus menschlichen Studien, die Unzuverlässigkeit der meisten auf dem Markt erhältlichen CBD-Produkte und die \”graue Zone\” der Legalität von CBD-Produkten.

CBD wirkt auf vielfältige Weise, die noch erforscht werden. Zum Beispiel kann es Schmerzen und Stress über den TRPV1-Rezeptor reduzieren,[1][2][3] Stress und Depressionen über den 5HT1-alpha-Rezeptor,[4][5] und Entzündungen über die A2A-Rezeptoren.[6] Leider scheint CBD besser in Kombination mit THC zu wirken.
